Default Questing and buying skills

I'm at lion's arch I've been wondering. Having explored around I've found that some of the out of the way spots have skill trainers, like the courthouse or the ice tooth cave. Buying skills is all well and good, but I keep looking at the skills offed over in the ascalon settlemend and wonder can i quest for those skills?

That is the skills that come from trainers, are some trainer only or are there quests for every skill your proffession can learn? (note: I understand elite skills are only obtainable via the capture signet method. So no need to count or explain those to me)

I don't know if you can quest for skills or not that you can perminantly keep. I got a few skills doing certain quests but was unable to keep them unless I made that my second profession. Right now I am a Elementalist/Monk with skills in both fields I collected by talking and doing missions for Elementalist and Monk leaders... however the others I could not obtain and keep unless I gave up being a Monk... which I didn't.

I do have a question for you, how/when do you get the capture signet? I'm still pretty new at the game, only lv 8 after playing 2 days and about to leave the training area.

To my knowledge there arent quest for all basic skills or at least not yet that ive been able to find...so buying skills isnt a bad thing...while you may use skill points to obtain them...thats what the points are for...dont worry bout running out of them because after lvl 20 you still earn them...all i can suggest is to keep exploring and looking for quests if you would rather not purchase them but in the end does it really matter as long as you get the skills? the quests will still be there, though exp would be only reward, but you could make a note of it for future reference

Mavrik you can get capture signet via quest in lions arch, or you can purchase them from a trainer in quarrel falls...and just so ya know you wouldnt want skills from another profession if you could keep them (there is an exception much later in the game where you can switch secondary professions and i think you keep all the skills you previously earned though arent able to use them until you were to switch back to that secondary class) as they would be practically worthless because you are not trained in that attribute
